When we ordered our prime rib, the meat cutter cut away the ribs and then rolled and tied them on the roast.
Today I’m making our third and final meal from the prime by slow cooking the leftover ribs.
The second meal was soup using the one piece of leftover prime and leftover Au jus as the base.

For the ribs I used one ladle of the soup with 1 added teaspoon of liquid smoke in the bottom of the slow cooker. I also coated the top of the ribs with coarse ground pepper. The ribs are cooking low and slow with the Smokey broth as it’s base.

I believe in using what you have. I’ve always been a cook that stretched a dollar and created new things from original meals.

I’m kinda proud that I have gotten 3 meals out of this pricey cut of prime.
