
Here’s one of my favorite hamburger versions. Break away from the bun and try this one.
Heres what you’ll need.
- 4 hamburger patties
- 2 green onions
- 4 baby bella brown mushrooms
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- Instant mashed potatoes
Make 4 servings of instant mashed potatoes according to package directions. Set aside.
Cut onions (including white and green parts) into small pieces. Slice mushrooms into small slices.
In a large skillet place the hamburger patties. Arrange onions and mushrooms around the burgers. Cook on medium high heat until burgers are browned on both sides and vegetables are tender. Measure broth in a large measuring cup. Stir in cornstarch mixing well to dissolve .
Add broth to meat and continue to simmer until gravy thickens.
Reheat potatoes in the microwave. Spoon a serving onto a dinner plate and top with the burger and gravy. Serve hot.
Makes 4 servings.
